Clumsy, Fergalicious, London Bridge, and Glamorous are just a few of my favorite songs from the beautiful and talented...and sexy! Fergie. And don't even get me started on cursive...thats the most pointless and useless skill to have. I don't remember ever using cursive since my 3rd grade class with Mrs. Loops... and yes that was her real last name.
Now the truth about Fergie is i never actually knew her real name until i looked up her information for this blog. I'm pretty sure a lot of you didn't know her real name either but its Stacey Ann Ferguson. Fergie is probably my second biggest hero growing up next to Tony the Tiger because her music was so catchy and her music videos were even "catchier" if you catch my drift... I know that Fergie has kind of fallen of the grid but i still listen to her every once in a while because she is still a good singer ;-)
Cursive...its one of those things that you either love or hate and in my case i hate it. Why would anyone ever need to use cursive in the real world? I just cant think of an instance when it would be necessary. I think one of the biggest reasons why i hate cursive so much is because of an embarrassing experience i had with it last year. Since i hadn't used cursive writing techniques since 3rd grade i completely forgot it pretty much and that really hurt when it came to ACT time. I'm sure all of you remember the cursive part of the ACT at the end of the test, it was the written agreement that you sign and date at the end. Well unfortunately that part might have actually been the hardest part of the whole test for me! And the most embarrassing part is that all you had to do was write a single sentence in cursive. The sentence was something along the lines of "I agree to taking this exam to the best of my ability and all the answers are my own" or something like that.
I guess pretty much what i'm trying to say is that i love fergie and i hate cursive writing. The reason why i hate cursive writing so much is simply because i suck at it and i love fergie because she attractive and ummm.... well pretty much just because she is attractive:-) Happy holidays to all and to all a good-night!
I have to agree that fergie is pretty awesome, and she has been a significant part of our generation. Curisive is something I am bad at as well, and I am glad I am not the only one who despises it.
ReplyDeleteYour blog post was fun to read lol. I also enjoy Fergie's music and think she has been influential to our generation, but atleast most of us somewhat know how to write in cursive...right?
ReplyDeleteHmm... I think I know why you like Fergie. It's not all about the singing is it? Ha Ha. I agreed with the cursive part as well. Why does anyone even need cursive anymore. We have a signature and thats all anyone needs it for. I liked your post it was interesting.
ReplyDeleteOmg.... You would like Fergie lol jk I also like Fergie but mine is purely because of her musical talent. I 120% agree that cursive is lame and totally pointless. I think that you have a very creative writing style and it was very fun to read.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I agree with much of your blog, but it was fun to read! Fergie isn't one of my music artists, I prefer country music haha. Cursive can be a pain to write in and remember, but you never know when your going to be required to use is. Prime example are the ACTs lol.
ReplyDeleteI love your passion for the singer Fergie, but the blog relates to Sarah Furguson who used to be popularly referred to as "Fergie". She was formerly married to Prince Andrew, and is the Duchess of York. It just goes to show the cultural and generational differences that can be created by even just a similar name.
ReplyDeleteI also like your personal references to the list. It gives a touch that makes you more personable and more relatable to the reader. Nicely done.
Lol Abdul just lol... But on a serious note while cursive may be pointless I think the point it was trying to get across is that we don't value anything of the past. Granted they went about it in degrading way that I found irritating, but never the less they did get the point across.
ReplyDeleteI never really thought of fergie as a 'hero' like person lol but alright. And i agree with you on the part where cursive was next to pointless to learn.
ReplyDeleteI don't even know what to say about this post right now......You flat out admit that you basically just like fergie because she is attractive, and trust me she is an awful singer with no talent I saw her in concert.....biggest waste of my money ever!
ReplyDeletehaha oh boy i didn't no anyone could like Fergie this much. Not really my style but slightly okay. lol im glad you put a little of yourself in this it was nice!
